Hospital Staff

Frida Arroyo has helped care for pets as a veterinary assistant at Eola Point Animal Hospital since 2007. She also volunteers her time with the Aurora Animal Shelter. She loves working with animals and is glad to be part of the close-knit staff. She counts volleyball, soccer, reading and dancing among her favorite pastimes and enjoys going out with her friends. She enjoys the company of her two dogs, Chuckie and Katrina.
A veterinary assistant at Eola Point since 2004, Lauren Eggleston enjoys working with the pets and clients who come into the hospital each day. She has a wide range of hobbies and especially enjoys fishing, camping, horseback riding and any outdoor activities. She shares her home with two cats, George and Meeko.
Veterinary Assistant Ashley Vlakancic began her career in the animal care field in 2001 and joined the Eola Point Animal Hospital staff in August of 2009. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Benedictine University and fulfills a number of roles here such as handling the various pets that come to us, helping with X-rays, filling prescriptions and various office duties.
Asked what she enjoys most about her work, Ashley says she likes working with compassionate people and being part of a team that truly cares about our client's pets. She also simply enjoys working with animals each and every day as well as being in an environment where she is constantly learning.
Ashley enjoys taking care of and spending time with her German Shepherd named Zeus as well as being with family and friends, watching movies, going to the theater, enjoying the outdoors, baking and volleyball.
Veterinary Assistant Sara Comfort began her work in the pet care field with Eola Point Animal Hospital in September 2009. She performs a number of duties with us that include aiding the veterinarians during exams, issuing vaccination reminders to clients and helping to ensure our office runs smoothly.
Sara says that among the many things she enjoys about her work at Eola Point, her coworkers are a high point. "Each of the women I work with is special in their own unique way and the doctors are amazing," she says. "Our work atmosphere is fun and enjoyable."
At home, Sara has a menagerie of pets that includes a rabbit named Qwag, Beta Fish named Ludo, eight hermit crabs, and a DLH named Storm. She also enjoys gardening (she says her year-old rosemary plants look like bushes now), puzzles, reading and being outdoors.
