Eola Point Animal Hospital is equipped with a state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory capable of performing a number of vital tests for your pet. The trained veterinary technicians in our laboratory can perform a number of comprehensive blood panel tests, urinalysis and fungal cultures. We are also capable of processing tissue and organ biopsies. Results are often available in a few minutes, which means a fast, accurate diagnosis for your pet. We also use a centralized reference laboratory for some tests, ensuring that your pet receives the best diagnostic care available.
Radiology
X-rays (radiographs) are an invaluable diagnostic tool for your pet. X-rays can be useful in pinpointing the location of a growth or lump in your pet's abdomen or determining the severity of a bone fracture. Heart and lung disease, gastrointestinal problems and other health problems can also be diagnosed through x-ray. Eola Point Animal Hospital utilizes modern x-ray equipment that produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
Eola Point Animal Hospital has invested in the latest digital x-ray technology for your pet's diagnosis. Digital x-rays are incredibly beneficial for both you and your pet. Unlike traditional film x-rays, digital radiographs are more detailed and of higher quality, leading to a faster, more accurate diagnosis. Digital x-rays are easier to take than film x-rays, resulting in less time on the x-ray table and less stress for your pet. Because the images are digital, your pet's x-rays can be saved to a disc and easily transmitted to specialists and consultants should further diagnosis or treatment be required.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure used primarily to examine the abdomen and heart. Using high-frequency soundwaves, our modern ultrasound equipment provides a real-time "movie" of your pet's organs, giving us a high-quality image that can be used to diagnose diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys and other internal organs.
